After finishing her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management, Jocelyn lived and worked in the Alberta oil sands region for over a decade before returning to her roots in northwestern Ontario along the north shore of Lake Superior. 

Jocelyn has extensive knowledge and experience in impact assessment, environmental monitoring and program design, and advancing Indigenous rights through Nation-led initiatives and consultation. 

She serves her Nation by participating on various multi-stakeholder committees providing policy and technical advice to Indigenous and Western Governments. She sits on the Oversight Committee of the Oil Sands Monitoring Program, is a member and Co-Chair of the Indigenous Advisory Committee on Impact Assessment and is part of the Minister's Advisory Council on Impact Assessment for Canada. Jocelyn was a member of the international and multisectoral Jury for the 2026 Transformation competition for the New Frontiers in Research Fund. She has also supported dialogue discussions for the Federal and Métis Nation Joint Table for Clean Growth and Climate Change, and Pathway to Canada Target One.
